I like the idea of bartering. You can save a lot of money and it’s fun. I found a website called: http://barterquest.com. You can barter services, goods and real estate with them. My experiences with other users are more then positive so far!

One big problem for borrowers is locating a SBA ARC Loan from a lender who is not their bank. Many of the banks want to provide loans to current customers only, especially if they hold a loan from that customer. Also, many banks have additional requirements for the loans beyond what the SBA has required. Finally, lenders have different policies as to whether they will make minimum payments on debt or will make larger payments toward the total debt. But not one of the banks is happy about having to process and underwrite a loan package for a $35,000 loan that requires nearly as much information, documentation and support as is needed for a regular sized SBA 7(a) loan.

My company, Business Borrowers Alliance, is contacting the large and mid-sized banks to learn if they are participating and what their specific requirements are.

We provide direct assistance and help to businesses throughout the complete ARC Loan application process. For more information, contact us at 866-944-3866, mail@businessborrowersalliance.org or visit www.businessborrowersalliance.org

His campaign saw a big opportunity on the Internet and exploited it masterfully. Would he have still won without it? Totally. But it certainly played a role.

Kudos Julie! Another marketing tool that walks you through creating a great integrated marketing campaign that reaches your audience is Marketing Plan Pro 2008 powered by John Jantsch's Duct Tape Marketing. It has a great approach that really speaks to small businesses who might not have a huge budget. It does have a price tag of about $150.00 but is well worth it because it is designed to help you write AND implement the plan. http://www.marketingplanpro.com

Thanks Marilyn. I checked it out briefly, but did not get a chance to use it. I plan on ordering the book for our library as well as trying out the tool bar. Sam Richter, Author of "Take the Cold out of Cold Calling", was president of the James J. Hill Reference Library in St. Paul, Minnesota for over 6 years. I have used JJ Hill Library's resources and have also had the opportunity to see Sam Richter speak. He is very knowlegble and respected in his field.

The best business site that I use daily is the Warm Call Resource Center and toolbar. I read about it in a book Take the Cold Out of Cold Calling. Go to www.takethecold.com and click on the Warm Call Center in the upper right. You can download the toolbar and every site you'd ever want for researching an industry, person, or company is at your fingertips. The book is also amazing.
