As the Iowa Western Community College SBDC Director, Sue works one-on-one with entrepreneurs, small businesses and people dreaming about starting businesses. She has owned her own business and now spends her days helping yours. Sue is a self proclaimed “magazine-o-holic” as well as an internet surfer. Her topic of choice is anything about small business and entrepreneurs. Through this blog Sue will share ideas, advice and opinions about owning and starting a business in Southwest Iowa.

Julie serves as the director of Entrepreneurial Education & Training at Iowa Western Community College. She works with educators to develop entrepreneurial curriculum for students in K-12 and the community college level. She coordinates training programs for business owners, including FastTrac classes, networking events and specialized training. Julie co-owns The Cornerstone Mansion, Omaha’s only historic inn, and formerly owned JM Communications, a freelance writing and public relations consulting firm. She will use this blog to share ideas and spark discussion on how to best prepare students and business owners for the entrepreneurial challenges ahead.
